An AI helper can suggest lots of ideas quickly, but it does not know your problem the way you do. The best inventions come from your ideas plus its help.

- Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini (with a grown-up) — use this to brainstorm and describe your invention
- An AI picture maker, or your own drawings
- Or use your favourite AI helper
Tip: you can always use your favourite AI helper instead — just keep a grown-up nearby.
🪜 How to build it
Day 1
- Spot a small problem in your day, like socks that always go missing.
- Describe the problem to an AI helper and ask it for a few invention ideas.
- Pick your favourite idea, or mix two ideas together into your own.
Day 2
- Ask the helper how your invention would work and what parts it needs.
- Draw or make a picture of your invention with its parts labelled.
Day 3
- Make a poster with the name, a picture, and how it solves the problem.
- Add one line about why your invention would help people.
